Kinder/Prep Friends

The Kinder/Preps from our Railton campus travelled up once again to visit their friends in Sheffield. Mrs Hinrichsen’s class cheered when they saw the bus arrive with their friends on board! Students had a lovely time playing together and creating a special art project that will be on display near the main school office in Term 3. Lunch time visits to Mrs Holmes’ Art Room, Mrs Sullivan’s Kindergarten, and the EC playground were also highlights of the visit. The afternoon was topped off with an icecream in a cone and some nursery rhymes. These visits are to build connections and friendships across the campuses.

Colour Fun Run

The Colour Run was a fantastic end to our K-6 major fundraiser!  We all had so much fun on the course and in total RAISED $17,290! This would not have been possible without Mrs Kleinman, high school helpers, staff and of course our wonderful students and families who worked so hard raising money!

Sheffield Starbursts Netball Teams

Both Sheffield Starbursts netball teams (Division 2 & 3) made their respective Autumn Season grand finals.  The games were played at the Devon netball courts in Spreyton on Wednesday night 25 June in chilly conditions.

Our Div 3 team won their tightly contested game to take out the top spot.  Congratulations and well done on this amazing result. The Div 2 team put in a courageous effort, but went down to an extraordinary performance by their opposition, noting that the Div 2 winning team included another Sheffield high school student who played superbly.

A massive congratulations to both our Starbursts netball teams which are made up of staff, students (present & past) and community members.  Special mention to members of the squad who were unable to play on the night but have all made a big contribution to the team through the season - we appreciate you all. 

The Women's Spring Roster starts on September 03 and runs through to December 03.  If you'd like to join the squad (Div 1, 2 or 3) then please let the school office know or talk to a team member and you'll be put in contact.
